| About Us |
|
Longwarry Food Park was founded in 2001 with the purchase of the facility from Bonlac Foods Limited.
The factory needed significant upgrades and investment. With inhouse expertise, the plant was fully
recommissioned in early 2005. Our first year of milk processing began on 1st of July 2005.
The plant is being continuously upgraded and has achieved significant reduction in greenhouse emission.
Australian Greenhouse Office award for Environment and Energy Management and SP AusNet Business award
for Sustainability are recognition of Longwarry Food Park’s efforts. We have achieved a 30% reduction
in energy usage in short two years by using the best practice technologies. Our efforts are continuing
in this direction.
Longwarry Food Park is located about 90 Kms east of Melbourne and is an easy one hour drive from the
city along the Monash Freeway. It is part of Gippsland, one of the leading milk producing regions of Australia.
Gippsland is naturally suited to dairy farming due to its temperate climate, reliable rainfall & fertile
soils. Cows graze outdoors all year round on rich, green pastures.
Gippsland is one of the most cost effective and efficient regions to produce milk in the world. As a result,
international demand for its dairy products is high.
